Annatto Extract is a natural colorant derived from the seeds of the Bixa orellana plant, commonly known as the achiote tree. It is widely used in the food, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries for its vibrant yellow-to-orange hue. The extract contains carotenoid pigments, primarily bixin (oil-soluble) and norbixin (water-soluble), which provide excellent coloring properties.
